LinkedIn post to PDF

Paste the link of a public LinkedIn post and download it as a PDF, with the author, the date, the full text, every image or carousel slide, and the link it came from. It is free and needs no account. A post that is not public can be pasted in as text.

How to save a LinkedIn post as a PDF

  1. 1

    Copy the post link

On LinkedIn, open the menu on the post and choose Copy link to post.

  2. 2

Paste it and get the post

Paste the link into the field and click Get the post. The pages appear as a preview.

  3. 3

Choose the paper and what to include

Pick A4 or US Letter, and decide whether to include the images and the post link.

  4. 4

    Download the PDF

Click Download the PDF. The file is named after the author and the first line of the post.

What goes into the PDF

  • The author and the date. The name and photo from the public post, and the day it was published.
  • The full text. Not cut at “see more”, with the line breaks, emoji, and hashtags as written.
  • The media. Each image, each carousel slide, or the first frame of a video, at the width of the page.
  • The source. The post link and the day you saved it, at the bottom of every page, so the PDF can be traced back.

Why save a post as a PDF

A post can be edited or deleted, and a post you saved on LinkedIn goes with it. A PDF is a copy you hold: for a swipe file of posts you want to learn from, for a record of something a company announced, or for a document you need to send to someone who is not on LinkedIn.

If you only need the words, the post downloader saves the text and the media as separate files. For a single picture of the post to share, use the post screenshot generator. For the original PDF behind a carousel, use the carousel downloader.

Other ways to do it

Your browser can print any page to a PDF: open the post, press Ctrl+P or Cmd+P, and choose Save as PDF. That keeps the text selectable, but it also prints LinkedIn’s menus, sign-in prompts, and sidebars, and it cuts a long post at “see more” unless you open it first. This tool leaves all of that out.

Depost AI keeps every post you publish with its numbers, so your own posts never need saving by hand.

Questions

How do I save a LinkedIn post as a PDF?
Copy the post’s link from its menu on LinkedIn, paste it here, and click Get the post. The post is laid out on A4 or US Letter pages with the author, the date, the text, its images, and the link it came from. Click Download the PDF to save it.
Which posts can it convert?
Public posts. The tool reads the page LinkedIn shows to someone who is not signed in, so a post shared only with connections, or one that has been deleted, cannot be read. For those, open the box under the link field and paste the text of the post yourself.
Does the PDF include images and carousel slides?
Yes. Every image on the post is placed after the text. For a carousel, each slide is included as its own picture, up to 60 slides. For a video post, the first frame is included. You can turn the images off to keep the PDF short.
Can I select or search the text in the PDF?
No. Each page is a picture of the post, which is what keeps emoji and every language looking right. To keep the words as text, click Copy the text and paste them into a note, or use the post downloader on this site, which saves the text as a file.
Does it save the comments?
No. It saves the post itself: author, date, text, and media. Comments are not part of the PDF.
Does the author know I saved their post?
No. The tool reads the public page the way any visitor would, and LinkedIn does not tell an author who viewed or saved a post that way. If you share the PDF, credit the author, as you would when quoting them.
Can I convert a LinkedIn article or a job post to PDF?
This tool is for posts in the feed. For an article or a job post, open it and use your browser’s Print, then choose Save as PDF.
Is anything stored?
The link goes to our server, which reads the public post and keeps that answer for an hour so a second request is quick. The saved answer holds the public post and nothing about you. The PDF is made in your browser, and text you paste in yourself never leaves it.
