1. **Paste a post link, or type your own.** Copy the link from the post’s menu on LinkedIn and import it, or type the post straight into the card.
2. **Check the card.** Add the headline if you want it, since the public page does not include one. Every field is editable.
3. **Choose a background and a size.** Pick a palette or your own color, then the canvas for wherever the image is going.
4. **Download the PNG.** Exported at 2x, with no watermark.

## Questions people ask

### How do I turn a LinkedIn post into an image?

Paste the link of a public post and the card fills in with the author, photo, text, date, and like and comment counts, or type a post in yourself. Then choose a background, a canvas size, and how much of the text to show, and download a PNG at double resolution.

### Which posts can it import?

Public ones. The import reads the page LinkedIn shows to someone who is not signed in, so a post shared only with connections, or one that has been deleted, cannot be read. Feed links, /posts/ links, and lnkd.in short links all work. If a post will not import, type it into the card instead.

### Does LinkedIn notify someone when you screenshot their post?

No. A screenshot is taken by your phone or computer, and neither the browser nor the LinkedIn app reports it back to LinkedIn, so there is nothing for LinkedIn to notify. The same goes for this tool: the import reads the public page the way any visitor would, and the author is not told. What LinkedIn does show people is who viewed their profile, which is a separate feature and has nothing to do with screenshots.

### Why is the headline empty after an import?

LinkedIn does not put it on the public page. The name, photo, text, date, and like and comment counts are there; the line under the name and the repost count are not. Rather than guess, the card leaves both for you to fill in.

### Can I make an image of someone else’s post?

Yes, the way you would quote them: as their words, credited to them. The import is exact, so the card shows what they published. If you change the text, it is no longer their post and should no longer carry their name.

### Can I use it as a LinkedIn post mockup generator?

Yes. Skip the link, type the post in, and set the name, photo, headline, and numbers yourself. Under your own name that is a draft in feed styling, useful for sign-off, a deck, or an ad. What crosses the line is putting words in a real person’s mouth and passing the image off as a real screenshot. That can be defamation, and it is always dishonest.

### Does it add bold or italic text to my post?

No. This tool turns a post into an image. To style the text of a post you are about to publish, with bold, italic, or bullets that survive LinkedIn’s composer, use the LinkedIn text formatter on this site.

### Which sizes can I export?

Fit the post, which wraps the background tightly around the card; square, for the LinkedIn and Instagram feeds; portrait 4:5, for phone feeds; and wide 16:9, for slides and X. Every size exports at double resolution, so the text stays sharp. Card only exports the post with no background at all.

### Is anything stored?

When you import, the link goes to our server, which reads the public post and keeps that answer for an hour so a second import is instant. The saved answer holds the public post and nothing about you. Your edits, the background, and any photo you upload stay in your browser.
