# LinkedIn Poll Generator

Canonical page: https://depost.ai/tools/linkedin-poll-generator

A poll lives or dies on whether the voter has a stake in the answer. Describe the topic or debate below and get three complete polls, question and options together, each inside LinkedIn's real limits of 140 characters for the question and 30 per option, and each built so the results are worth a follow-up post.

Free to use, with no account needed.

## How to use it

1. Fill in **The decision, question, or topic**.
2. Add **Who should vote** and **What you want to learn or start** if you want to. They are optional.
3. Click **Write 3 polls**. To see a result before typing, click **Try an example** first; it fills the form with a sample.

## Example: Three polls on the same debate

Each poll fits LinkedIn’s real limits, 140 characters for the question and 30 per option, and each takes a different door into the same argument: practice, trade-off, then the uncomfortable version.

**What went in**

- The decision, question, or topic: Should engineering managers still write code? Our team is split on it and I want to see where the industry actually lands.
- Who should vote: Engineering managers and CTOs
- What you want to learn or start: A real split I can write a follow-up post about

**What came back**

1. Poll 1 (Your practice): How much code do you write as an EM?
None, and that is right
A little, to stay sharp
Regular feature work
Depends on team size
2. Poll 2 (The trade-off): A new EM finds 4 spare hours a week. Where should they go?
Code review, not code
1:1s and coaching
Writing and docs
Shipping small fixes
3. Poll 3 (Hot seat): EMs who stopped coding entirely: can they still judge technical work?
Yes, for years
For a while, then no
No, it fades fast

## Questions people ask

### What are LinkedIn’s limits for polls?

The question is capped at 140 characters, each answer option at 30 characters, and a poll takes 2 to 4 options. Duration is your choice of 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks. The generator writes inside all of these, so every result can be posted as-is.

### How does this poll generator work?

Describe the topic or debate, say who should vote, and you get three complete polls: question plus options, each taking a different angle on the same subject. One usually asks about the voter’s own practice, one forces a trade-off, and one tests the position people argue about in private.

### What makes a poll worth voting on?

A stake. People vote when the question touches how they actually work and the options cover the honest range of answers. The polls that die are the ones with one obviously right answer and three straw men, because there is nothing to disagree with, and disagreement is what a poll is for.

### Do polls still get reach on LinkedIn?

Less than in their 2020 heyday, when the feed was drowning in them, but a good one still earns cheap engagement: voting is a one-tap action, and each vote tells LinkedIn the post is worth showing. The real value is the comments a divisive option pulls in and the follow-up post the results give you.

### What should I do with the results?

Write the follow-up. A poll that splits 60/40 across a few hundred votes is original material nobody else has: post the result, take a side, and tag the discussion that produced it. The poll is the setup; the follow-up post is usually the better performer.

### Is it free?

Yes, without an account. A daily cap keeps it available for everyone. What you type is sent once to generate the polls and is not stored.
