# AI Content Detector for LinkedIn

Canonical page: https://depost.ai/tools/ai-content-detector

Paste a draft and get the lines that make it read as AI-written: the exact quote, the pattern it matches, and what a person would write instead. No percentage score, because scores are theatre. Readers do not compute probabilities; they hit one 'Thrilled to share' and scroll, and this tool finds that line before they do.

Free to use, with no account needed.

## How to use it

1. Fill in **The draft to check**.
2. Click **Check the draft**. To see a result before typing, click **Try an example** first; it fills the form with a sample.

## Example: What the detector flags in a typical AI draft

This is the demo draft the Try an example button pastes in, and the lines the detector pulls out of it, each with the pattern named and a human rewrite.

**What went in**

- The draft to check: 🚀 Thrilled to announce that I've been diving deep into the world of AI productivity tools!

It's not just about working harder — it's about working smarter.

In today's fast-paced world, staying ahead of the curve isn't optional. It's essential. These game-changing tools have truly elevated my workflow to the next level.

**What came back**

This draft would read as AI-written to most people before the second line; nearly every sentence carries at least one tell.

- "Thrilled to announce that I've been diving deep": announcement register. Fix: Say what happened: "I spent the last month testing AI productivity tools."
- "It's not just about working harder — it's about working smarter.": not X but Y. Fix: Cut it, or state the actual claim: "Two of these tools saved me about four hours a week."
- "In today's fast-paced world, staying ahead of the curve isn't optional.": empty urgency. Fix: Delete the sentence. It contains nothing a reader can use.
- "These game-changing tools have truly elevated my workflow": empty intensifiers. Fix: Name one tool and one specific change: "Superhuman cut my inbox time to 20 minutes a day."
- "What's your favorite productivity hack? Let me know in the comments! 👇": bolted-on question. Fix: Ask only if you want answers, and be specific: "Which tool actually stuck for you past week two?"

## Questions people ask

### How does this AI content detector work?

It reads your draft the way an editor would and points at lines, not scores. For each finding you get the exact quote, the pattern it matches ("It's not just X, it's Y", the announcement register, em dashes as seasoning, empty intensifiers, triads everywhere), and what a person would write instead. If the draft is clean it says so, rather than inventing problems to look busy.

### Why no percentage score?

Because percentage scores on AI detection are theatre. No detector can prove authorship from text alone, and the same score means nothing across two drafts. What can be shown reliably is that a specific line matches a specific pattern readers have learned to skim past, and that is actionable in a way "73% AI" never is: you rewrite the line, not the number.

### What are the most common AI tells in LinkedIn posts?

The construction "It's not just X, it's Y" and its cousin "X isn't about Y, it's about Z". Em dashes sprinkled as seasoning. Triads ("faster, smarter, better") in every second sentence. Empty intensifiers like "truly", "incredibly", "game-changing". The announcement register ("Thrilled to share"). Hedging that balances every claim. A question bolted onto the end. And a rhythm where every sentence is the same length, which no human under deadline produces.

### My post was human-written. Can it still get flagged?

Yes, and that is the useful part. These patterns read as generated because generators learned them from a decade of corporate posting; a human using them gets skimmed just the same. The question the tool answers is not "did a machine write this" but "will readers file this as machine-written", and that question applies to your writing no matter who typed it.

### Is it free, and is my draft stored?

Free, no account, with a daily cap so it stays available. The draft is sent once for the read and is not stored.

### How do I fix a flagged draft without flattening it?

Rewrite the flagged lines with the specifics the pattern was hiding: the number, the name, the thing that actually happened. Each finding here comes with a suggested fix. Inside Depost AI you can select any line and rewrite it in place, in your voice, with accept and try-again, which turns this checklist into an editing loop.
